Job Description
Are you a recent graduate looking for a professional career with a world class organisation?An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s largest Banks as a Trainee Business Development Manager (BDM) in their rapidly growing invoice finance division.
Initially you will shadow and support a team of experienced BDM’s, where you will develop the skills to identify, acquire and deliver structured invoice finance solutions from companies turning over between £1million and £25million
You will receive on the job training on all elements of Invoice Finance; this includes writing Credit Proposals, reading balance sheets, profit & loss analysis and sales closing techniques.
What is Invoice Finance?
Companies send out their invoices and advise the Bank who then makes an immediate cash payment of up to 80% of the approved invoice, the balance is then due when the customer pays.
How Invoice Discounting Works
- The business raises the invoice in the usual way to the customer
- Details of the invoicing (usually a sales day listing) is sent to the Invoice Discounter who will release up to 80% of the invoice value
- The business chases the customer for payment
- Customer payments are paid to the business directly. The business pays them in turn into a trust account held to the Banks order
- Once notified of received payments, the discounter releases the un-financed portion of the invoice (i.e. 20%)
